IPv6 training conference at Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology
The conference provided basic knowledge, benefits of IPv6 transformation and how to effectively deploy IPv6 in their units for digital infrastructure development, meeting digital transformation requirements.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Ms. Pham Thanh Mai – Director of Center for Informatics and Computation, emphasized the importance of IPv6 transition for networks and services of state agencies. IPv6 is not only a challenge but also an opportunity for the sustainable development and efficiency of the network. Facing IPv4 address depletion, IPv6 offers a larger address space, scalability, and global compatibility.
Therefore, the organization of a training conference for officials in charge of IT at affiliated units of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology is essential in the implementation of Decision 38/QD-BTTTT dated January 14, 2021 of the Minister of Information and Communications approving the "Promotion program, support IPv6 transition for state agencies in the period of 2021-2025", towards completing IPv6 transition at the whole Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in 2025.
At the training conference, the rapporteur of the Center for Informatics and Computing, presented and guided 4 main contents: IPv4 overview and the current situation of global IP addresses; Introduction to IPv6 and the current status of IPv6 transition in the world and Vietnam; IPv6 operation process; IPv6 deployment plan and some IPv6 transition results at Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
Within the framework of the training program, participants and rapporteurs had lively discussions and interactions, disseminated knowledge through answering bonus questions, helping to increase the excitement of delegates with the contents at the conference.
